Saturday & Sunday Summer Concert Series:

Saturday Concerts


These concerts are on selected Saturdays throughout the summer. Concerts are from 4 - 6 p.m.

Motor Driven Outdoor concert of classic rock music.
When: Saturday, July 25th 2015 @4-6p.m.

Sunday Concerts


Each Sunday evening from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend, there is a concert at the Robert V. Setera Amphitheater at Allen Pond Park. Concerts are from 7 - 8 p.m.

Bring lawn chairs and blankets for comfort and don't forget the bug spray.

The Electric Company An outdoor concert of classic rock-and-roll music from the 1970s and ’80s.
When: Sunday July 26th @ 7-8 p.m.

LEA The band mixes folk and soul music in an outdoor concert.
When: Sunday July 26th @ 7:30-9 p.m.

Famer's market:
 Living in Bowie still have access to fresh farm products , the Bowie farmers market offers varieties of produce and fresh product from local farms. Check it out and it they also have special events to enjoy

The 2015 market runs from Sunday, May 17 through Sunday, October 25.
Location: Bowie High School parking lot 15200 Annapolis Rd. Bowie, MD
Time:   8 a.m. to 12 noon


Upcoming Special Events

August 9 - Corn Roast
Activities begin at 10 a.m. and continue until the market ends at 12 p.m.
Enjoy FREE fresh hot buttered corn-on-the-cob, compliments of the Bowie Farmers' Market vendors and the City of Bowie, while supplies last.

September 20 - Farm Days
Activities take place between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
Enjoy a day on the farm with the whole family at the Farmers' Market Petting Zoo. Come see chickens, ducks, bunnies, sheep, goats, a miniature horse, and a donkey!


October 25 - Octoberfest
Activities start at 10 a.m.
FREE scarecrow making (Participants need to supply a long sleeve shirt and trousers.)
FREE pumpkin painting (Pumpkins are not supplied but available for purchase at the market.)



Theatre & Arts
Enjoy live theatre without the long drive to D.C featuring local artist.

David McGachen and John Baker, have planned a weekend off before their new CEO arrives on Monday. With their wives safely on a shopping spree in New York City, they check into the Oakfield Golf and Country Club intending to "golf" their brains out. They unexpectedly encounter their new boss and she insists on meeting the wives, commenting lithely "no one who went golfing for a weekend without his wife would ever work for me." So... David and John have to produce wives. inevitably everything goes wrong as John and David attempt to "pull the wool" over their new boss' eyes, literally!

Chesapeake Bay Exhibit:
The newest City Hall Art Gallery exhibit features the Chesapeake Bay and runs through September 25.

The Bowie Green Team’s Food, Health and Wellness Subgroup will be hosting weekly community walks on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. in the month of July. Walks will be a fun and social opportunity for the citizens of Bowie to get together for light to moderate exercise. They also will highlight nature and many beautiful local walking trails

Time Travelers  ages 4 - 10 are invited to share Bowie's railroad story, the beginning of Bowie history. Fun, games, tour and a craft.
