Charging for school bus - Are we next in Maryland?
Loudon county is considering charging students
for school bus rides, are we next in Maryland ?
You bet, once this is done in one jurisdiction in the metro area we are next,
just like the speed camera became endemic all throughout our metro area.

It was reported by ABCNEWS that the county school
board members are going to ask the Virginia legislators to give them
authority to start charging parents for school bus rides, as usual  is all about balancing budgets, and always
giving the worst case scenario- ( is either that or we cut classrooms!!).
The
irony  is that  just this spring Forbes listed Loudon County
as on of the richest county in the country!!
The bigger question for us in Maryland is are we going to be next in
paying for school bus ride? You Bet!!!, and just like every taxes and levies
politicians will give us worst case scenario and try to explain why we need to
start paying for the  next levies/taxes.
Watch out and be prepared to testify and email your representatives to reject
this next tax. Enough already!!!. We pay enough already in property taxes, sales
taxes , toll taxes, rain taxes and many more.
The good thing about our
democracy is we have the power to vote these
politicians out( recent Maryland
governor's race is an example),we have the opportunity to voice our opinions.
Another opportunity we have to is to appealproperty taxes once the assessed value are sent out, or contest unfair traffic
ticket. Let us all be active in this democracy and say enough of taxes and
levies.
